Bio

Aaron Brown (born May 27, 1992) is a Canadian sprinter who has carved his niche in the world of athletics, specializing in the 100 meters and 200 meters races. He's a key figure on the Canadian national team, particularly in the thrilling 4x100m relay.


Brown boasts two Olympic medals, both earned in the prestigious 4x100m relay. He secured a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, contributing to a Canadian national record performance. He continued his success at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, securing a silver medal alongside his teammates.Brown's achievements extend beyond the Olympics. In 2022, he reached the pinnacle of his career with a gold medal in the 4x100m relay at the World Athletics Championships, showcasing his teamwork and sprinting ability. He'd previously secured a bronze medal in the same event at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships.

While the relay is his specialty, Brown demonstrates individual talent as well. He is the former Canadian record holder in the 200 meters, achieving an impressive 20.02 seconds in 2014.Brown's journey began at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in Brampton, Canada. He established himself as a promising athlete early on, winning medals at various junior championships, including the 2009 World Youth Championships silver medal in the 100 meters.Brown's talent earned him a track scholarship to the University of Southern California (USC). While competing at the collegiate level, he continued to hone his skills and achieve personal bests.

Aaron Brown's personal best comes in the 200 meters with a time of 20.02 seconds, which he achieved in 2014. This time previously made him the Canadian record holder in the event, although the record has since been broken.
